Before we dive into this week’s fantastic new links and celebrate the amazing features from last week, I have a very special and somewhat unexpected piece of news to share, along with a small favor to ask. I wasn’t going to mention it initially, feeling a mix of surprise and humility, but something truly wonderful has happened: I’ve been nominated for The Top 10 Food Blogs from Voice Boks! This is an incredible honor, especially considering the caliber of the other blogs on the list. There are a total of 50 nominated blogs, many of which I deeply admire and follow myself, so to be counted among them is genuinely humbling and a huge source of pride.
It all came as quite a surprise, to be honest. I recall seeing a call for nominations for this prestigious list a few months back and, honestly, never gave it a second thought that my blog might be considered. Then, about two weeks ago, an exciting email landed in my inbox, informing me that my blog had not only been nominated but also officially selected for the longlist! My first instinct was to shy away from promoting it, feeling a bit awkward asking for votes. However, after some reflection, I realized that someone out there took the time and effort to put my name forward, believing in what I do here at Chocolate, Chocolate and More. That anonymous act of kindness and support truly touched me.
Their belief in my work made me rethink things. If someone cared enough to nominate me, then I should care just as much, if not more, about this recognition. It’s a testament to the wonderful community we’ve built together, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to potentially gain more exposure for our shared passion for food and creativity.
